Arıklı highlighted the dire condition of the ports, stating that no investments have been made in the past 23 years, leaving the breakwaters on the verge of collapse. He mentioned that experts from Turkey had recently assessed the situation and concluded that significant investments are urgently needed.

"Attempting to Influence MPs and Ministers"

The minister revealed that certain individuals are trying to exert pressure on MPs and ministers to influence the tender process. He stressed that the tenders would be transparent and open to everyone, and criticized those engaging in backdoor lobbying.

"We Won’t Be Part of a Government That Engages in Favoritism"

Arıklı made it clear that if any favoritism or corrupt practices are involved, his party will not continue to support the government. He called on MPs and ministers not to be complicit in such activities and expressed confidence that Prime Minister Ünal Üstel shares his views on maintaining integrity in the tender process.
