Turkish Ministry of Defense: We Are Closely Monitoring Military Activity in Southern Cyprus
The Turkish Ministry of Defense has stated that it is closely monitoring military developments in Southern Cyprus, asserting that despite any military build-up in the region, there is currently no threat to the security of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC). The Ministry emphasized that all necessary precautions are being taken to safeguard the TRNC against potential threats.
Responding to concerns about the deployment of American and British troops to the Greek Cypriot Administration in the context of tensions between Israel and Iran, Ministry sources reiterated their vigilance.
They assured that all movements in Cyprus are being meticulously tracked and that there is no immediate concern regarding the security of the TRNC.
The Ministry's statement comes as part of broader comments on regional security, including the neutralization of 38 terrorists in the past week.
