30 Vehicles Taken Off the Road in Nationwide Traffic Inspections

During traffic inspections conducted across the country yesterday, police traffic teams checked 1,922 drivers, of which 421 were reported for various offenses. As a result, 30 vehicles were taken off the road, and one driver was arrested.

According to a statement from the Police Press Office, among those reported, 175 were cited for speeding, 45 for not obeying traffic lights, 43 for using a mobile phone while driving, 21 for not wearing a seatbelt, 19 for driving without a valid registration, 7 for driving without insurance, 5 for driving under the influence of alcohol, 2 for driving without a license or insurance, and 2 for riding a motorcycle without a protective helmet. An additional 102 drivers were penalized for other traffic-related offenses.
