24-Year-Old Sude Öztemur Loses Her Life in Famagusta Traffic Accident
A tragic traffic accident in Famagusta claimed the life of 24-year-old Sude Öztemur and left three others injured. The collision occurred at around 3:55 AM on İsmet İnönü Boulevard, involving two vehicles.
According to police reports, 30-year-old Yağmur Öztemur was driving a PA 843-registered car under the influence of 149 mg of alcohol. While heading south, she lost control of the vehicle near the Mens Fashion store and veered into the opposite lane. This led to a collision with a YC 648-registered double-cabin vehicle driven by 44-year-old Hamdin Göktürk, who was traveling north.
The impact caused the YC 648 vehicle to veer westward, striking the curb and then a tree before coming to a stop.
Tragically, Sude Öztemur, who was a passenger in the PA 843 vehicle, died at the scene. The driver, Yağmur Öztemur, and another passenger, 45-year-old Koray Ulema, were injured, along with 50-year-old Jamshid Dinpanah, who was a passenger in the YC 648 vehicle. All three injured individuals were taken to Famagusta State Hospital, where they are still receiving treatment.
