Appearing on "Sabah Postası," hosted by Gökhan Altıner on Kıbrıs Postası TV, Gardiyanoğlu revealed that seasonal workers from Turkey would not be coming this year. He also mentioned that the Ministry of Agriculture requested 440 agricultural workers, and permission was granted after careful consideration.

"Workers' Living Conditions to Be Inspected"

Gardiyanoğlu highlighted that the criteria and conditions for workers have been made stricter, and workers for Cypfruvex have already been brought to the country. Emphasizing the need for prompt citrus harvesting, Gardiyanoğlu noted that the Ministry of Agriculture requested an additional 170 agricultural workers. He assured that the workers' living conditions, wages, and overtime payments would be monitored, stressing that the government operates as a unified entity.

"600 Workers, 500 to Be Transferred to Other Companies"

Gardiyanoğlu explained that due to the hot weather and the need for rapid harvesting, an excess of workers had been brought in, completing the process in five months. "There are around 600 workers; next week, 500 will be transferred to other companies, while Cypfruvex will retain its core team," he said.

"I Considered the Footage as a Complaint"

Gardiyanoğlu emphasized that they are closely monitoring the situation. "I hadn’t received complaints from the workers, but I considered the footage in the media as a complaint," he stated, adding that some had tried to misinterpret his actions.

"We Have an Open and Transparent System"

Gardiyanoğlu stressed the importance of managing situations calmly and making decisions accordingly. "The Ministry of Labor has a very well-organized system; everything is digitally recorded. Our partners can see our system. We have an open and transparent system," he said.

"We Are Opening Social Services and Provident Fund Offices in Mehmetçik and Yenierenköy"

Gardiyanoğlu announced the opening of social services and provident fund offices in Mehmetçik and Yenierenköy. "We are reopening sections that have been closed for years. If these could have been done, why weren’t they?" he questioned.

Kyrenia and Güneşköy Rehabilitation Centers

Gardiyanoğlu mentioned that the renovations for the Kyrenia Rehabilitation Center have been completed, and that the Güneşköy Rehabilitation Center, which was in a dilapidated state, is also being finished and handed over.

"They Talk, We Act"

Minister Gardiyanoğlu concluded by saying, "Our biggest difference is that they talk while we take action. At the end of the day, I will be able to say, 'This is where I started, and this is where I got to.'"
