The earthquake was felt widely across Cyprus.

The tremor occurred at a depth of 12.22 kilometers. The Meteorological Department reported that the earthquake, recorded at 00:29 local time, was detected 82 km from the Lefke Seismic Station. The earthquake was of moderate intensity, with an instrumental magnitude of 4.9 on the Richter scale.

Initial assessments determined that the earthquake's epicenter was located at coordinates 34.56 North and 32.23 East, approximately 3.5 km deep, off the coast of Paphos.
