Yasin Ekrem Serim: "The TRNC Will Eventually Be Recognized"
Turkey's Ambassador to Nicosia, Yasin Ekrem Serim, expressed his firm belief that the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) will eventually gain recognition and secure its rightful place on the international stage. "We are confident that the TRNC will be recognized and will take its deserved position in the international arena," Serim stated.
During his visit to the Cyprus TMT Fighters Association, Ambassador Serim emphasized that the Turkish Resistance Organization (TMT) is the backbone of the TRNC. He underscored the importance of unity between Turkey and the TRNC in the face of challenges.
Serim also announced initiatives for the veterans and their families in the TRNC, mentioning that a draft protocol has been prepared, with further details to be shared soon. Reflecting on his personal connection to the TRNC, where he has spent a part of his life, Serim expressed his honor at serving as Turkey's Ambassador in Nicosia.
He reiterated Turkey's unwavering support for the TRNC and highlighted the continued threat posed by EOKA-inspired groups in Southern Cyprus. Serim concluded by stressing the need for unity and solidarity, particularly in challenging times.
