Two Separate Traffic Accidents: Both Drivers Arrested for Drunk Driving
In two separate traffic accidents that occurred in Alsancak and Dipkarpaz, the drivers were arrested for driving under the influence. According to information from the Police Press Office, both accidents took place yesterday, and the drivers were found to be intoxicated.
Around 9:30 PM on Karaoğlanoğlu Street in Alsancak, Ahmet Kulle (45), driving a vehicle with license plate UC 835, lost control of the car while heading east due to inattentiveness. The vehicle veered off the road and crashed into an electric pole. Kulle, who was found to have a blood alcohol level of 230 milligrams, was not injured but was arrested by the police. The investigation is ongoing.
Dipkarpaz Driver Crashes into Store's Bread Cabinet, Taken into Custody
Another accident occurred around 9:00 AM on Dudayev Street in Dipkarpaz. Fevzi Çobanoğlu (52), driving a vehicle with license plate EE 182, lost control while heading west and crashed into a bread cabinet outside a store. Çobanoğlu was arrested after refusing to provide a sufficient breath sample for an alcohol test. The investigation is continuing.
