Special Lane at Metehan Crossing Point for Teachers in Dipkarpaz and Koruçam
Anna Aristotelous, Commissioner for Humanitarian Affairs regarding Missing Persons and the Enclaved, announced that a special lane has been created at the Metehan Crossing Point to ease the passage of teachers working in Dipkarpaz and Koruçam.
According to Haravgi newspaper, Aristotelous met with Evangelos Fukas, the representative of the Dipkarpaz Greek Secondary School educators, where they discussed issues concerning teachers and students at the schools in Dipkarpaz and Koruçam.
Aristotelous informed Fukas that, following an evaluation of the government's people-centered policies, the decision was made to facilitate the teachers' crossing at Metehan. This decision responds to a long-standing request from educators working under difficult conditions at these schools. Aristotelous also expressed her gratitude to the teachers for their dedication.
