Speeding and Drunk Driving Top Traffic Offenses Once Again

Nationwide traffic inspections revealed that 2,276 drivers were checked, with 351 facing legal action. Speeding and drunk driving continue to top the list of traffic offenses. During inspections conducted by traffic teams yesterday, 2,276 drivers were checked, and 351 were reported for legal action.

According to the Police Press Office, 33 vehicles were banned from traffic, and one driver was arrested during the inspections.

The breakdown of reported traffic violations is as follows:

  • 141 for speeding,
  • 10 for driving under the influence of alcohol,
  • 4 for driving without a license or insurance,
  • 29 for using a mobile phone while driving,
  • 16 for not wearing a seatbelt,
  • 22 for driving without registration,
  • 5 for driving without insurance,
  • 3 for dangerous driving,
  • 2 for failing to comply with vehicle lighting regulations,
  • 119 for other traffic violations.
