Maviş inspected strengthening and construction work at schools in Lefke, Yedidalga, Yeşilyurt, Karaoğlanoğlu, and Çatalköy. He also discussed regional issues with Lefke Mayor Aziz Kaya.

Noting that Yeşilyurt Primary School has been using container classrooms for the second year, Maviş criticized the failure to construct new buildings within a year as unacceptable. He also pointed out that the report for Yeşilyurt Special Education School is incomplete and the construction remains unfinished.

Maviş highlighted that restoration work at schools in the Lefke region has not started due to bureaucratic delays, with the area relying on temporary solutions with containers. He stated that many issues, including school repairs in Lefke, remain unresolved, validating criticisms from civil society organizations.

He mentioned ongoing construction of additional classrooms at Karaoğlanoğlu Primary School and near-completion of the new school building in Çatalköy. Maviş stressed the need for strengthening and renewing educational buildings and called for planning new schools over the next decade.

Maviş revealed that some buildings of 19 primary schools under the Ministry of Primary Education are out of use, 20 schools are undergoing strengthening, and reports for 37 primary schools have not yet reached the committee. He also found it concerning that containers were set up at two schools that do not require renovations due to population growth.

Finally, Maviş stated that if school safety is not ensured, he and other families and teachers at Şehit Yalçın Primary School, Lefke İstiklal Primary School, and Hamitköy Dr. Fazıl Küçük Primary School will take action.
