School Opening Date Postponed to September 23

The opening date for schools across the country has been postponed to September 23. The 2024-2025 academic year was originally scheduled to begin on September 16, but the Council of Ministers decided to delay the start.

The new opening date has been set for Monday, September 23, and the decision was published in the Official Gazette.

The statement in the Official Gazette reads as follows:

"The Council of Ministers, in light of the reasons outlined in the proposal, has decided that the 2024-2025 academic year for all public schools under the Directorate of Primary Education, the Directorate of General Secondary Education, and the Directorate of Vocational and Technical Education will begin on Monday, September 23, due to the ongoing teacher appointment processes, which have not yet been completed."
