In a written statement, Çeler condemned the government, especially the ruling coalition partner, the National Unity Party (UBP), for failing to complete the necessary preparations for schools during the 100-day summer break and instead focusing solely on their party congress.

"THEY TRAMPLED ON EDUCATION FOR THEIR PARTY CONGRESS"

In his statement, Çeler highlighted the frustration of thousands of students eagerly waiting for the new school year and families who had made financial and logistical arrangements based on the original school calendar. He stated, "Despite a 100-day summer break, the Ministry of Education, whose sole responsibility is education, has turned schools into container towns while failing to complete teacher appointments. The so-called Ministry and government, whose only focus is their party congress, have dealt yet another heavy blow to children, trampling on education."

"YOU DON'T NEED ANOTHER SCANDAL TO RESIGN"

Çeler criticized the Ministry of Education for not preparing for the new academic year, despite strikes by teachers' unions and repeated calls from TDP. He said the last-minute decision to delay school openings by a week was "beyond scandalous."

He continued, "Neither this country nor the world has ever seen such an indifferent, incompetent, and unqualified government. These incompetent individuals, who have stolen the dreams of our children and have no sense of planning, have effectively placed a time bomb on the country's future. You don’t need another scandal to resign—vacate those seats immediately," Çeler demanded.
