Minimum Wage Meeting Postponed to Wednesday

The Minimum Wage Determination Commission, which was scheduled to meet last week to set the third minimum wage of the year, has postponed the meeting to September 18. The meeting will take place on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, at 1:30 PM in the conference room of the Ministry of Labour and Social Security.

Initially, the commission met on September 13 and decided to hold the next meeting on Tuesday, September 17. However, a statement from the ministry today announced that the meeting has been rescheduled for Wednesday.

At last week’s commission meeting, Minister of Labour and Social Security Sadık Gardiyanoğlu stated that the new minimum wage would be retroactively effective from September 1.

The commission previously set the second minimum wage of the year on May 1, 2024, at a gross amount of 33,926 TL and a net amount of 29,516 TL.
