Minister Gardiyanoğlu stated that the new minimum wage will be 35,180 TL net and 40,436 TL gross.

Adjustment Reflects Cost of Living Increase

The previous minimum wage was 29,516 TL net. The new amount reflects a 19% increase to account for the cost of living adjustments.

Minister Gardiyanoğlu explained that the cost of living increase over the last four months was 19.99%. This rate will be applied to public sector salaries, pensions, and state aid recipients, as well as to the new minimum wage.

He noted that there is a ten-day period for objections. "If there are any objections within ten days, we will reconvene to review," he said.

Gardiyanoğlu also mentioned that the new wage figures will be sent to the Council of Ministers.

He added that the current meeting's focus was on discussing the cost of living adjustments for public sector salaries and aid recipients.
