In a written statement, Hasipoğlu highlighted the festive atmosphere of the congress held at the Lefkoşa Atatürk Sports Hall and extended his gratitude to all party members.

Hasipoğlu stated, “We have concluded the leadership election phase of the 23rd Ordinary Congress of the National Unity Party, a party whose banner I have proudly carried as General Secretary for 3.5 years. Prime Minister and our party leader was re-elected with a record-breaking 65.8% of 10,136 votes. This marks a historic milestone in terms of the highest number of participants and votes in the history of Turkish Cypriot politics."

He also thanked fellow candidates, MPs Hasan Taçoy and Ahmet Karavelioğlu, for their maturity and contribution to the democratic process through their candidacies.

Hasipoğlu reflected on the party's journey since Üstel took over leadership in the 13th Extraordinary Congress, stating, "From the day he became leader, we have walked this path together, overcoming challenges and sharing both sorrow and joy. The strong turnout and the results once again show how deeply rooted and powerful our party is."

He concluded by expressing gratitude to all party members and high-level guests from Turkey and Azerbaijan, wishing that the outcome of the congress would be auspicious for the nation and the state.
