54 Vehicles Banned from Traffic During Nationwide Checks
Traffic teams conducted checks across the country yesterday, resulting in the banning of 54 vehicles from the roads. During the operations, a total of 2,104 drivers were inspected, with 345 drivers reported for legal action.
According to police statements, one driver was also arrested during the checks.
The reported traffic offenses included:
- 105 for speeding over the legal limit
- 10 for driving under the influence of alcohol
- 2 for driving without a license and insurance
- 5 for using a mobile phone while driving
- 8 for not wearing a seatbelt
- 29 for driving without a registration certificate
- 20 for driving without insurance
- 1 for ignoring traffic signals
- 165 for other traffic violations
