The prosecution's 11th witness, Police Officer Ortunç Özbaylı, provided crucial evidence regarding the allegations against the defendants. Officer Özbaylı explained that they had received a written complaint from M.A., the authorized representative of E.U., a major shareholder of KSTU, alleging that the university had engaged in fraudulent activities, including the issuance of false invoices. He submitted a copy of an invoice associated with "Study in Cyprus," reflecting payments totaling 146,096 Euros, which he presented as evidence.

Shakerifard was reportedly identified while attempting to leave the TRNC and was summoned to the Financial Crimes Unit. During questioning, he denied any wrongdoing, stating, “I didn’t do anything.” This assertion has been contested by the prosecution, which claims substantial evidence against him.

The court also reviewed materials found on Shakerifard’s phone and USB drive, including documents spanning 59 pages. Furthermore, during a search of his residence in Girne, police discovered a notebook with the university's name, which Shakerifard claimed contained significant contracts.

Officer Özbaylı testified that Gündüz and Shakerifard are implicated in a series of serious charges, including “Fraud,” “Forgery,” and “Money Laundering.” In total, they are facing accusations across 130 separate cases, which underscores the severity of the allegations against them.

The presiding judge, Gülay Süleymanoğlu Uğur, scheduled the next hearing for October 1, allowing for further examination of the presented evidence.

In a related matter, Serdal Gündüz is also undergoing a separate trial at the Lefkoşa High Criminal Court concerning allegations involving his assistant, B.Ö.

As the legal proceedings unfold, both defendants remain under scrutiny, and the case continues to draw significant public attention.
