Narcotics Operations Seize 4.6 Kilograms of Drugs, 9 Arrested
In narcotics operations conducted yesterday in Nicosia, Famagusta, and Kyrenia, 4.6 kilograms of drugs were seized, and nine people were arrested.
The Narcotics and Anti-Smuggling Directorate, under the General Directorate of Police, carried out the raids, where approximately 4.6 kilograms of cannabis, around 5 grams of methamphetamine, three precision scales, and cash believed to be from drug sales were confiscated, including 910 US dollars, 150 euros, 70 pounds sterling, and 16,700 Turkish lira.
According to a police statement, nine individuals were detained as part of the operations.
