The Ministry of Health's Primary Health Services Department organized HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) training for local producers required to obtain a business registration certificate.

The training program, held at the Cyprus Turkish Chamber of Commerce, was opened by Minister Dinçyürek and conducted by Verda Değirmencioğlu, Head of the Environmental Health Branch of the Primary Health Services Department and a food engineer. Dinçyürek emphasized the importance of food safety, stating that today's training represents a significant step in that direction.

He highlighted that consumed foods can lead to various diseases and stressed the need to eliminate doubts regarding their compliance with global standards. Dinçyürek noted that the government is working to control the process of bringing products from farm to table and mentioned steps taken regarding the Market Law to maintain balance between producers, consumers, and prices.

He pointed out that the fire at the State Laboratory left the region without an accredited laboratory. He shared that repairs on equipment are underway, the new building project has been designed, financing has been secured, and the project is now out for tender.

Dinçyürek reiterated the goal of laying the foundations for the State Laboratory in October and completing it within eight months, ensuring safety for producers, exporters, importers, and consumers. He thanked everyone who contributed to the training.
