During the demonstration, both Greenhouse Growers' Union President Veli Bayır and Cyprus Turkish Farmers' Union President Mehmet Nizam addressed the media.

Bayır: “Arıklı is making statements to stay relevant”

Bayır criticized Minister Arıklı for making what he called an "unfortunate" statement that disregards producers, accusing him of interfering in areas outside his remit to remain in the public eye. “Despite his lack of knowledge about agriculture and various aspects of production, Arıklı once again made a careless statement without considering the impact on producers,” said Bayır, urging the minister to focus on his own responsibilities.

Nizam: “Remove your delicate hands from these calloused ones”

Mehmet Nizam echoed Bayır's sentiment, accusing Arıklı of attacking producers to stay in the spotlight. He called on the minister to stop meddling in agriculture and focus on his ministerial duties, saying, “Mr. Arıklı, remove your delicate hands from these calloused ones.”

The protest concluded with the placing of the black wreath at the ministry's entrance.
