Police officer Süleyman Talu presented the case details in court. He stated that Memedova, who has been married since 2018, obtained a fake certificate of single status from Turkey for $250 on June 1, 2023, and entered the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC). She then acquired a residence permit under her mother’s work permit.

The police reported that Memedova was arrested on September 26, 2024. During her statement, she admitted to having entered the country with her husband in 2023 but separated due to personal issues, leading her to procure the false document from Turkey to obtain a residence permit.

The police also revealed that they had conducted a search of her residence, where they found the fake documents submitted to the immigration office. They noted that her mother had left the country on September 23.

According to her statement, Memedova claimed she obtained the fake document under her mother's guidance. The police indicated that the investigation was complete and emphasized that Memedova was in the country on a tourist visa.

Judge Nuray Necdet ruled that she be imprisoned for a period not exceeding 20 days.
