Tuğcu: 20% Electricity Price Hike Possible Due to Teknecik Plant Maintenance Issues
EL-SEN President Ahmet Tuğcu highlighted that necessary maintenance at the Teknecik Power Plant has not been carried out, raising concerns about potential electricity outages during the winter months.
According to a report by Yeni Düzen, Tuğcu stated that the maintenance of the machinery must be completed by November 15 at the latest; otherwise, outages could occur in January and February.
He also noted that the lack of maintenance at the plant will impact electricity prices, with a potential 20% increase on the horizon.
