He emphasized that the government is taking measures to combat the global economic challenges and thanked Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan for his continued support, particularly for his call to the international community to recognize the TRNC during the UN General Assembly.

In his speech, Üstel noted the government's determination to place the TRNC on stronger foundations and to work diligently towards the completion of essential projects. He mentioned the ongoing inflation battle and assured that the government would introduce the Electronic Label Regulation to bring markets under tighter control, with the aim of easing the cost of living for citizens.

Highlighting global concerns, Üstel referenced the ongoing conflict in Gaza, instability in Lebanon, and the tense situation in Southern Cyprus, which he described as a "powder keg." He reiterated that, despite these international challenges, the TRNC government remains focused on safeguarding the welfare of its people.

Üstel also acknowledged the efforts of lawmakers, who worked throughout the summer without a break to progress committee work, and expressed gratitude for their dedication. He concluded by reaffirming the government's commitment to improving infrastructure, supporting producers, and addressing the economic needs of the country through the Financial Cooperation Protocol signed with Turkey.

Finally, Üstel extended his best wishes for a successful and fruitful legislative year, pledging that the government would continue to work hard for the benefit of all citizens.
