Dujarric: Tripartite Meeting Likely to Take Place in New York
UN Spokesperson Stephane Dujarric announced that a tripartite meeting between the President of the TRNC, Ersin Tatar, and the President of Cyprus, Nikos Christodoulides, is expected to take place in New York.
Speaking at a daily press briefing, Dujarric provided updates on the Cyprus issue, noting that UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres had already held separate bilateral meetings with both Tatar and Christodoulides.
Dujarric added that Guterres has invited both sides for informal consultations in October to discuss the next steps regarding the Cyprus issue.
"We are pleased to confirm that both parties have accepted," said Dujarric, indicating that the consultations will likely be held in New York.
