Murat Şenkul: Water Supply from Turkey Completely Halted
Kyrenia Mayor Murat Şenkul announced that water supply from Turkey has been completely cut off due to power outages in the Geçitköy region, urging residents to use water sparingly.
In a statement on social media, Şenkul explained that Kyrenia has been facing water shortages since last week as the flow from Turkey was disrupted, and local sources have been used to compensate.
As of this morning, the water supply from Turkey has entirely stopped, and Şenkul called on the public to conserve water. He mentioned that water would be provided in rotation while authorities investigate the cause of the issue, asking residents to be mindful of water usage.
