The trio faced charges of document forgery, circulating false documents, and fraudulently obtaining money. Previously arrested Şener Dağgül was released after being found innocent.

Police officer Özgür Sunalp presented the case in court. He explained that in 2024, Yücel created a false power of attorney claiming authority from a company, submitting it to the Nicosia Land Registry on September 3, 2024, to sell a property and obtain £520,000. The police noted that Yücel was identified on September 23, and during searches of his home and workplace, they discovered 55,000 TL and 24,870 TL.

Sunalp added that Yücel was brought to court, where he received an additional three-day extension. During this time, Doğuş Erzan and Sadık Öztürk were also arrested. The police reported that the suspects were presented to the court again on September 30, where they received a seven-day extension.

Further investigation revealed that Yücel had sold a house in Gönyeli with a false power of attorney, which was also circulated at the Güzelyurt Land Registry. The police established that Yücel and Öztürk had acted together.

Additionally, allegations surfaced that Erzan had prepared a fake passport for Yücel to create the fraudulent power of attorney. The police seized Erzan's computer and mobile phone and requested his bail, stating that he would not interfere with the ongoing investigation.

The police sought an additional three-day extension for Öztürk and Yücel.

Judge Nuray Necdet, evaluating the testimonies, ordered Öztürk and Yücel to remain in custody for three days. She ruled that Erzan should be prohibited from leaving the country until his trial, posting 30,000 TL in cash bail, and having two valid guarantors, each signing a bail bond of 500,000 TL. He must also report biweekly to the nearest police station.
