Nevzat Özkunt: "This is a Psychological Case"
TDP Deputy Leader Nevzat Özkunt described Zorlu Töre's self-declaration as Speaker of the Parliament without sufficient support as a "psychological case."
Referring to Töre's declaration after receiving 23 'yes' and 25 'no' votes, Özkunt criticized the situation in a social media post, stating, "This is not about blood pressure, it's psychological. We are dealing with a serious psychological case here."
Özkunt further emphasized that this behavior reflects a "throne syndrome," implying an obsession with holding onto power. He added, "If someone claims victory with 25 'no' votes against 23 'yes', they should be sent to Bakırköy under a court order, as there is no cure for this in our country." His comments alluded to the absurdity of Töre's actions and questioned the mental state behind them.
