Tufan Erhürman to Ersin Tatar: "We Were Speaking Sweetly in the Last Meeting!"

Tatar, as the elected President of the country, had claimed during international talks in New York that those discussing federation behind the scenes were wrong and that it was an act of betrayal, asserting, “They do not represent the Turkish Cypriot people.”

In response to Tatar's comments, Erhürman took to social media, saying, “Just the other day, at the 'information meeting' held at the Presidency, we talked sweetly and confirmed that we hardly agreed on any issues.”

Erhürman continued, questioning Tatar’s claims:

“What background? What background are we talking about? Just the other day, we were speaking sweetly at the Presidency's 'information meeting,' confirming that we hardly agreed on any issues. There was no complaint like this, and he never mentioned 'betrayal.'

What happened again? Perhaps a clumsy attempt to change the agenda or one of those uncalculated bursts of emotion?

'Betrayal'! That’s a strong word! It’s a state of losing oneself.
