Akansoy emphasized that the Republican Turkish Party (CTP) is working tirelessly to ensure that the Turkish Cypriot community claims its rightful place in the world. He mentioned that CTP Chairman Tufan Erhürman, along with the party, has made every effort to communicate the community's commitment to peace and a solution to the international community.

Referring to the domestic scandals that have caused delays for the Turkish Cypriot people, Akansoy said, "Instead of focusing all his attention on the upcoming meeting in New York, Tatar has been preoccupied with resolving the meaningless crisis caused by internal conflicts within UBP in the Parliament."

Akansoy also accused Tatar of attempting to divert attention from his responsibilities in Parliament by blaming CTP. "Our people are aware of the truth. Ersin Tatar, who has achieved nothing during his term, abandoned the negotiations, and left our people without leadership, has once again shown that he is incapable of representing the Turkish Cypriot community."

He added, "Tatar’s attempts to change the agenda and play the blame game do not eliminate the uncertainty about our people’s future." Akansoy concluded by calling on Tatar to resign and "clear the path" for the Turkish Cypriot people.
