Reflecting on his presidency, Tatar emphasized his commitment to ensuring that the Turkish Cypriot people live in peace, prosperity, sovereignty, independence, and freedom under their own state in a just, lasting, and sustainable agreement.

Tatar expressed satisfaction with fulfilling the promises he made to the public despite facing attacks from both internal and external sources. He stated, "I continue to walk the path I know to be right alongside my people, without paying attention to the attacks and operations directed at me. I stand with my head held high."

He reiterated that he has never shied away from dialogue or negotiations on the Cyprus issue but stressed that the sovereignty of the Turkish Cypriot people is non-negotiable. Since taking office, Tatar has advocated for a two-state solution and highlighted the success of promoting this policy internationally with the support of Turkey.

Discussing his administration’s accomplishments, Tatar recalled the 2021 Geneva talks, where a new political vision for a two-state solution was introduced. He noted that while efforts for a federal solution had failed, the UN remains open to new ideas and is exploring ways to bring both sides together.

Tatar emphasized the importance of sovereignty, stating, "Our sovereignty is a right inherent to us," and dismissed any notion of returning to the Republic of Cyprus. He called for better cooperation between the two states on issues like energy, cultural heritage preservation, defense, and social challenges such as migration and drug trafficking. While acknowledging that no common ground has yet been found for official negotiations, Tatar affirmed his willingness to collaborate on practical matters that benefit both sides.

The President also addressed criticisms that the Turkish Cypriot relations with the world have stagnated, rejecting such claims. He highlighted his travels to the UK, Australia, and Turkey to strengthen ties with the Turkish Cypriot diaspora and emphasized the importance of fostering a sense of belonging among citizens, regardless of where they live.

One of his future goals is to introduce voting rights for citizens living abroad without residency requirements, a move he discussed with the government.

Reflecting on his four years in office, Tatar said that he has maintained open dialogue with the public and strengthened ties with Turkey, particularly in education and tourism. He also praised his wife, Sibel Tatar, for her contributions to social projects.

Summing up his presidency, Tatar stated, "On the day I was elected, I promised to embrace everyone and treat all equally, regardless of political views. I am at peace knowing I have kept that promise."

He also unveiled a booklet titled "Four Years of a New Era, a New Vision in the Presidency," detailing his administration’s achievements over the past four years.
