Öztürkler noted that Parliament has been inactive for a month, which he said is detrimental to the country. He added that he has consistently maintained respectful relations with MPs from the Republican Turkish Party (CTP), responding to their claims that the recent Speaker election was "unlawful."

Highlighting that recent discussions over "double stamps" have been misdirected, Öztürkler clarified, "The focus should be on whether the elections in Parliament were conducted according to Parliamentary bylaws or YSK (Supreme Election Board) regulations. Parliamentary elections have no connection with YSK rules."

"No Legal Issue in Speaker Election"

Öztürkler stated that, as YSK rules were not applied, the focus on the "double stamp" is misplaced. "Parliament's elections are held and concluded according to our bylaws, and there is no legal problem," he said.

"MPs' Duty: Committees and Legislation"

Stressing that a month-long inactivity in Parliament is against public interests, Öztürkler pointed out that "no committee has worked, and no laws have been produced, which is not what society expects."

"If a UBP MP Wanted to Spoil the Vote, They Would Have Used 'No' or 'Abstain'"

Öztürkler noted that a vote marked with an "X" for "Yes" should not be dismissed, adding, "If a UBP MP truly wanted to spoil the vote, they could have marked both 'Yes' and either 'No' or 'Abstain' to void it."
