In a written statement, Maviş referred to the founding declaration of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), established by the Federal Assembly's unanimous decision on November 15, 1983, emphasizing that the Parliament represents the free will of the Turkish Cypriot people.

He claimed that due to unethical, unqualified politics that disregard the rule of law, the Parliament has collapsed. Maviş accused the government of violating the Constitution and internal regulations, stating that the Parliament's moral integrity has been trampled.

He urged the Turkish Cypriot community to put an end to the ongoing "irregularities" and "lawlessness."
