Police officer Yılmaz Sevdalı, from the Nicosia Criminal Investigation Department, presented the facts in court. He stated that on October 22, 2024, between 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM, an operation was conducted at the suspect's home in the Çağlayan area by the Crime Prevention Unit.

During the search, officers seized 17 ecstasy pills, approximately 5 grams of a substance believed to be cocaine, and 3 grams of a substance thought to be cannabis. Additionally, a precision scale, a plate with cocaine residue, and cash amounting to 8,085 TL and 120 euros were also found as evidence.

Following the investigation, police revealed that Aksoy had been living in the country without a residence permit since June 15, 2024. The seized substances are set to undergo analysis, and further interviews and investigations regarding other individuals will take place.

The police also stated that they would inquire whether Aksoy had any permits for importing or possessing drugs from the Department of Pharmaceuticals and Pharmacy. Furthermore, a transparent nylon bag containing the cannabis will be sent to the Forensic Fingerprint Unit for necessary fingerprint analysis.

The investigation is ongoing, and the police requested that Aksoy remain in custody for an additional seven days. After evaluating the testimony, Judge Nuray Necdet approved the request for detention.
