Denktaş Calls for Social Consensus: “We Cannot Move Forward Like This”

In a written statement, Denktaş emphasized the urgent need for societal agreement, urging, “Let’s come together. We can only solve our problems by acting collectively.”

"We Cannot Walk into the Future Disorganized"

Denktaş stressed the importance of moving beyond short-term fixes to secure the future, saying, “We cannot walk into the future disorganized. By uniting and acknowledging that solutions exist for all our problems, we can overcome our internal issues instead of deepening divisions.”

He asserted that there is no alternative future for the country, adding, “We will either save our future together, or we will be doomed to disappear together.”

"Everyone is Acting to Protect Their Own Interests"

Commenting on the ongoing protests in various sectors, Denktaş noted that while many are active in demonstrations, the desired results have not been achieved. He stated, “Everyone is complaining, everyone is protesting, but no one can unite. Each is acting to protect their own interests. We are not engaging in dialogue with one another. Organizations that were able to come together through various campaigns during the Annan Plan are now unable to unite. If everyone is singing their own song, it indicates that there is a significant problem.”
