Crashes in Famagusta and Yenierenköy: Four Injured, Two Arrested

Two separate traffic accidents in Famagusta and Yenierenköy on November 10 left four people injured and resulted in the arrest of two individuals, according to police reports.

Drunk Driver Arrested After Crash

At around 4 a.m., 26-year-old Tufan Tulga lost control of his vehicle while driving under the influence on the Yeşilköy-Yenierenköy main road. With a blood alcohol level of 92 milligrams, Tulga's vehicle, bearing license plate SE 934, collided with a roadside traffic sign and an electric pole before overturning and landing on its roof. Tulga, treated at Yenierenköy Health Centre, was released and subsequently arrested. An investigation is ongoing.

Unauthorized Use of Vehicle Leads to Accident

Another incident occurred at 7:30 p.m. on the Famagusta-Nicosia main road when 19-year-old Ghadaq Mohammed Wahhab crashed after passing the Dörtyol junction, hitting the central median and flipping the vehicle, which came to rest on its wheels. Wahhab and passengers Aseel Muataz Mohamed El-Amin (18) and Salma El Quaamari (19) were injured and treated at Famagusta State Hospital before being discharged. Wahhab was arrested for unauthorized vehicle use and causing an accident. The investigation continues.
