Weekly Fire Report: "12 Fires, 1 Million 19 Thousand 500 TL in Damages"
A total of 12 fires occurred in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) last week, causing damages amounting to 1 million 19 thousand 500 Turkish Lira.
According to a statement from the police, between November 4 and 10, 12 fires and 25 emergency service incidents were reported in the TRNC.
The total damage from the fires was reported to be 1 million 19 thousand 500 TL.
The potential causes of the fires were identified as "electrical short circuits, cigarette butts not fully extinguished, deliberate arson, cleaning-related burning, and sparks from welding machines igniting dry grass."
The emergency service incidents included "rescuing cats trapped in trees, car engines, water tanks, and walls, rescuing dogs fallen into irrigation ponds, pits, and wells, responding to special tasks, fire safety precautions, and transporting deceased individuals to the hospital for forensic investigation."
