Four Arrested for Drug Possession in Famagusta
Four individuals were arrested in Famagusta for illegal drug possession, according to a police press release.
At 3:30 PM yesterday, police officers conducted a search on B.K. (28, male) on Dalga Street after he was seen acting suspiciously. During the search, officers found a piece of paper believed to contain synthetic cannabinoid-type drugs. B.K. was subsequently arrested.
Two Suspects Arrested for Drug Possession Found to Be in the Country Illegally
In a separate incident, during a search at the home of F.K. (23, female) in Famagusta, police found two rolled banknotes believed to contain traces of drugs. Following further investigation, two individuals, S.M. (29, male) and R.M.Ö. (24, male), were identified and arrested in connection with the case.
A search of S.M.’s home in İskele uncovered a cigarette believed to contain drug traces. Additionally, S.M. and R.M.Ö. were found to be residing in the country without legal status during immigration control checks.
The police investigation into both incidents is ongoing.
