352 Drivers Reported Nationwide
The police have conducted checks on 1,857 drivers across the country, initiating legal proceedings against 352 of them. Additionally, 25 vehicles were impounded, and two drivers were arrested. Speeding remains the leading traffic violation.
According to a statement from the Police Press Office, of the 352 drivers reported yesterday, 117 were caught speeding, 6 were found driving under the influence of alcohol, and 1 was driving without a license or insurance.
Further violations included 78 drivers using mobile phones while driving, 13 not wearing seatbelts, and 19 driving vehicles without a registration certificate.
Additionally, 3 drivers were found operating uninsured vehicles, 2 were in violation of electric scooter usage regulations, and 113 drivers committed other traffic offenses.
