Erdoğan: “Today Represents the Most Precious Manifestation of the Epic Struggle of the Turkish Cypriot People”

“Today represents the most precious manifestation of the epic struggle of the Turkish Cypriot people,” Erdoğan stated in his message. He underlined that the resolution of the Cyprus issue can only be achieved by recognizing the sovereign equality and international status of the Turkish Cypriot people.

Erdoğan reiterated his call to the international community to acknowledge the TRNC, a point he also raised during the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly.

“Motherland Turkey Will Always Stand by the Turkish Cypriots”

Referring to the upcoming 50th anniversary of the Cyprus Peace Operation, Erdoğan noted that the operation secured the existence of the Turkish Cypriot community and brought peace to the island. He stressed that Turkey will continue to defend the rights and interests of the Turkish Cypriot people.

“The steady progress of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus into the future is a source of great pride for us,” Erdoğan said.

Concluding his message, Erdoğan extended his congratulations on the occasion of the TRNC’s Republic Day, stating, “I wholeheartedly share the pride and joy of the Turkish Cypriot people, who are an inseparable part of the great Turkish nation.”
