In Kyrenia, the storm caused significant damage, including a roof blown onto the Alsancak-Kyrenia Bypass, blocking the road. Mayor Murat Şenkul criticized the lack of adequate preventative measures and urged residents to stay indoors. “We face a serious storm—roofs are flying, trees are uprooted, and the electricity grid is overwhelmed,” he stated.
