Speaking on the Kanal T program Damla Dabis ile Saat 12.00, Arıklı emphasized the need for a legal regulation, stating, “Reflexes may slow down in older individuals. Without proper checks, similar incidents to last night’s tragedy could happen.”

Acknowledging the existence of problematic roads, Arıklı noted the state's limited resources but urged drivers to exercise greater caution. He criticized reckless behavior, saying, “I saw a video of people zigzagging on the road, playing pranks on the highway.”

Arıklı also revealed plans to hold a meeting with municipalities to address traffic-related responsibilities after parliamentary budget discussions.
