Ataoğlu: "DP Is the Most Prepared Party for an Early Election"

Speaking to journalist Levent Kutay on the parliamentary broadcast, Ataoğlu addressed recent discussions surrounding the DP.

Expressing respect for both support and constructive criticism, Ataoğlu rejected comments by former MP Hasan Tosunoğlu, who claimed the DP had "hit a wall." He remarked, "He is an old friend of mine; his opinions are his own."

Ataoğlu affirmed the continuation of dialogue with former DP leader Serdar Denktaş and emphasized the party's readiness for an early election. "We already have 30 confirmed candidates out of 50," he said. "The list includes influential and well-known figures who have made significant strides in society. You will be surprised by the names running under the DP banner."

He dismissed long-standing claims that the DP would fail to meet the electoral threshold, stating, "We’ve been hearing such remarks for years, and we’re no longer fazed by them. Let no one worry; the DP is stronger, united, and more solid than ever."

Concluding on a personal note, Ataoğlu shared his coffee preferences: "I always drink plain Turkish coffee and prefer coffee that reflects the local culture of wherever I am. I never change this habit. I don’t opt for medium-sweet coffee and recommend the same to everyone."
