During the celebration, CTP leader Tufan Erhürman highlighted the party's enduring legacy, stating, "By 2025, CTP will produce its second president and sixth prime minister." The progressive political force of Turkish Cypriots and a staunch advocate for a federal solution on the island, CTP reaffirmed its commitment to its founding principles.

The event featured speeches from Erhürman and Secretary General Asım Akansoy. It was attended by former President Mehmet Ali Talat, ex-prime ministers Ferdi Sabit Soyer, Özkan Yorgancıoğlu, and Ömer Kalyoncu, as well as MPs, mayors, and former secretaries-general. Representatives of civil society organizations and unions also joined the gathering, where party members reconnected and celebrated their shared vision.

"Where There is CTP, There is a Solution"

Addressing attendees, Erhürman emphasized the party's 54 years of struggle for peace, democracy, and self-determination. Reflecting on the challenges facing the country, he declared, "Despite numerous problems at home and wars in the region, CTP has never given up." He reiterated the party’s resolve, saying, "Where there are problems, there is also CTP—and where there is CTP, there is a solution."

Erhürman spoke confidently about the potential of the people and the country: "Yes, this people and this country have great potential. There can be solutions, prosperity, and equality. The will is here, and it is the will of the Turkish Cypriot people."

He also underscored CTP's track record of producing leaders and lawmakers, adding, "In 2025, or at the latest in early 2026, this party will elect its sixth prime minister and its second president." Erhürman highlighted the party's commitment to connecting with the world and empowering youth, reaffirming that this mission remains unchanged.
