Arıklı clarified that the X-ray devices, manufactured in Turkey and donated to the country, are highly reliable and capable of detecting even the smallest irregularities. However, he noted that these scanners are managed by the Customs Department and can process only a limited number of trucks daily. With approximately 200 trucks arriving at the port each day, only a fraction undergoes scanning, based on customs officers' assessments.

The Minister acknowledged that the truck in question may not have been scanned as it was not flagged by customs for further inspection. He called on the Police Directorate to issue a statement to provide clarity on the matter and emphasized the importance of addressing public concerns transparently.

Expressing disappointment over criticisms directed at the X-ray devices, Arıklı stated that it was unfair to label such advanced equipment, which had been generously donated by Turkey, as ineffective. He reiterated the government's commitment to maintaining high security standards and fostering public confidence.
