TEKNOFEST TRNC: Uniting Young Minds for Technology and Innovation

The world’s largest aviation, space, and technology festival, TEKNOFEST, is set to bring together technology and innovation enthusiasts in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) in 2025. As part of the festival, the Social Innovation Competition will focus on projects aimed at improving societal well-being and enhancing quality of life. The competition, led by TÜBİTAK, aims to encourage individuals to implement their creative and innovative ideas, providing solutions to social challenges.

PROJECTS THAT MAKE A DIFFERENCE

The competition will be held under three main categories: Lifelong Learning, Society, and Safety. Participants are invited to present projects that tackle social inequalities, improve living standards, and promote active participation in society. The competition is open to students from primary school to university level, including graduates, studying in Türkiye, TRNC, or abroad. Participants can join individually or in teams of up to six members.

The Social Innovation Competition encourages participants of all ages to develop creative solutions to social challenges, offering young people not only the chance to win prizes but also the opportunity to make meaningful contributions to society.

TEKNOFEST will reward winners with substantial prizes across different education levels.

Primary School: 50,000 TL for first place, 40,000 TL for second, and 30,000 TL for third.

Middle School: 60,000 TL for first place, 50,000 TL for second, and 40,000 TL for third.

High School: 70,000 TL for first place, 60,000 TL for second, and 50,000 TL for third.

University and Above: 80,000 TL for first place, 70,000 TL for second, and 60,000 TL for third.
