Ercan Airport Hosts 95,000 Passengers in One Week
Ercan Airport, the gateway of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, saw significant traffic during the holiday season, serving 738 flights and 95,440 passengers from December 28, 2024, to January 3, 2025.
On January 1, 2025, the first day of the year, Ercan Airport handled 121 flights, including private jets, and welcomed 13,646 passengers, marking a peak in activity.
The airport experienced high traffic both before and after the New Year, with no issues reported thanks to the comprehensive measures implemented by T&T Airports Management, ensuring smooth and safe travel for passengers.
Passenger flow was particularly intense on December 28, 2024, when 105 flights brought in 13,426 passengers, followed by December 29, with 117 flights and 16,582 passengers. On December 30, 102 flights carried 12,633 passengers, and December 31 saw 73 flights with 9,352 passengers. Following the New Year's Day, January 2, 2025, saw 112 flights and 14,534 passengers, while January 3, 2025, handled 108 flights with 15,267 passengers.
Ercan Airport continues to serve as a key hub for international travel to and from Northern Cyprus.
