AHDR to Organize Bi-communal Workshops for Teachers
The Association for Historical Dialogue and Research (AHDR) is set to organize workshops aimed at fostering intercultural skills and promoting peace education among teachers.
The program focuses on storytelling and shared narratives to strengthen a culture of peace. Funded by the Federal Foreign Office of Germany, these workshops utilize the power of storytelling and shared narratives to enhance intercultural understanding and peacebuilding efforts.
As part of the second phase of the training program, a bi-communal workshop titled Exploring Common Narratives: Inter-communal Resources in Intercultural Education will take place on Saturday, January 18. The workshop will be held at the Home for Cooperation in the Nicosia Buffer Zone, running in two sessions: 9:30 AM - 1:00 PM or 2:30 PM - 6:00 PM.
Conducted in Turkish, Greek, and English, the workshops will provide participants with certificates and free educational materials.
Following these single and bi-communal workshops, the Teachers’ Academy for Peace will be held at the Home for Cooperation from February to May 2025. This program will include three bi-communal workshops and a mentorship process, aiming to enhance intercultural understanding and peace education.
Registration can be completed via this link, and detailed information about the program is available here.
