The suspect was apprehended shortly before the announcement. The vehicle he was using, which had been identified as a rental car sought by authorities, was found at the scene. It had been connected to an earlier incident involving a 24-year-old Pakistani man who was shot.

Police revealed that three additional suspects linked to the case are Turkish Cypriots currently in the north. To facilitate their arrest and transfer to the Republic of Cyprus authorities, the Bi-communal Technical Committee on Crime and Criminal Matters has been engaged through the United Nations.

Authorities are urging anyone with information that could assist in locating the suspects to contact their nearest police station or the Citizen Hotline at 1460. The investigation remains ongoing.
