Police Warn of Fake $100 Bills in Nicosia Casino Operation
Police in Nicosia have seized $1,500 in counterfeit U.S. bills during an operation at a local casino.
On January 15, 2025, authorities discovered that a customer had used $400 in fake $100 bills for gambling. Following a search, an additional $1,100 in counterfeit notes was found.
The counterfeit bills were identified by their serial numbers, and the police urged banks, exchange offices, financial institutions, businesses, and the public to be cautious of these notes.
Anyone dealing with currency exchanges should report any suspicious activity to the nearest police station.
